MaMa, directed and performed by Kirsten Newell and Oxana Banshikova, is a new Bharatanatyam based dance production on the themes of pregnancy and early motherhood. Combining classical South Asian dance with contemporary choreography, two dancers explore and share their journeys as mothers. The performance is accompanied by originally composed music weaving together Celtic and Carnatic sounds.

Mama Workshop – Cosmic Dance
A workshop for parents and babies/toddlers (0-5 years).
This workshop creates a safe place where parents can reflect on the experience of becoming or being a parent, while discovering new ways to play with their children. In a beautiful space with sensory lighting, sounds and textures, Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance) performers, Kirsten and Oxana, take you on a journey through the Indian jungle, using hand gestures and rhythms. There is also the opportunity to practice some gentle relaxation techniques.
