Dumfries and Galloway Dance are interested in collaborating with both local dance artists and those who are interested in connecting with the region. We have a range of artists opportunities that will change over the next year, in response to funding and our capacity as an organisation.

Dance Artists in Residence Scheme

Cultured Mongrel are our current regional Dance Artists in Residence. Their role includes.

• Delivering the Youth Dance Programme

• Leading the Dance Mentorship Scheme

• At least one touring commission annually

As the work of Dumfries and Galloway Dance evolves, and the nature of the work is more secure we will recruit annually for the Dance Artist in Residence position as part of our commitment to creating meaningful, long term opportunities for dance artists, dance enthusiasts and young dancers in the region.

The resident artist may be based in the region or simply have an interest in building links with the region. More information will be shared as the project evolves.
